Daily (hah, Nightly) Dreams: Inexplicable Irony

I dream nightly.

Last night, I dreamt of something passed.

Like history.

It was almost in Sepia mode.

'I' was a little boy.

Ironically, it was something historical (not tooooo old.... like old Singapore era) yet indescribable.

What I dreamt of didn't exist.

And yet... the activities and items seemed to fit.

The only thing I can say about 'me' is that I define SPACE as 'what is between the sofa and the wall'.

'I' am said to be a child who has to be thrown into a situation, following which 'I' will navigate.

Life's Lament: The Kiasu Singaporean

I succumbed.

And applied to NUS.

Tsk tsk.

And not for the Global Merit Scholarship.

Daily Musings: (not) Fun & Shame

Thought: Friday, 19th March 2009

Watching others' humiliation is never really fun, or funny.

At best, it is boring;

At worst, it feels shameful, after the initial laughter and fun.

Watched: Mall Cop on one of those social occasions.

Daily Musings: Distance Really Matters

Take this as it was written Yesterday, 15th March.

Today I met many new people and shared about my life.

Majority probably thought me an extrovert.

It takes energy to interact as I did and yet I am more willing to expand that energy with strangers and share than amongst friends.

I DO keep to myself. Not that what I shared was not real.

Just that it seems not to matter as much amongst strangers.

Weird actually.

Distance really matters.

Daily Musings: Admissions & Such

When we talk about percentage, like chance, of getting admitted into a school or programme or winning...

We frequently forget the existence of The Weighted Die.

Daily Musings: The Friendly Distance

Hi Friend,

When we were friends, we talked and shared joy and sorrows.

Then we drifted like little paper boats away from each other.
(Though paper boats do get wet, vanish and evaporate... it makes a good image.)

Awkward. Unsure.

One day, when we become strangers enough, we will once again be able to comfortably confide and wallow.

=)
